My Endorsement of Dr. Chris Jones for Congress

Throughout my campaign for the Arkansas State Senate, I have said that good government begins with a simple principle: public office exists to serve the people. Every policy decision should answer one fundamental question—how does this strengthen Arkansas families, our communities, and the future we will leave to the next generation?

That conviction is why I am proud to endorse Dr. Chris Jones for the United States Congress.

Chris and I share a belief that government has a responsibility to create the conditions where individuals, families, and communities can thrive. While no two public servants agree on every policy or every approach to solving the challenges facing our state and nation, I believe Chris brings the integrity, experience, and commitment to service that Arkansas deserves in its representatives.

A defining theme of my campaign has been preparing Arkansas for the future through strategic investments in infrastructure, workforce development, quality education, and economic opportunity. I have advocated for expanding broadband access, modernizing our transportation systems, strengthening career and technical education, and helping local communities attract investment and create good-paying jobs. I see many of those same priorities reflected in Chris’s vision for Congress, particularly his commitment to rural development, workforce training, small business growth, infrastructure investment, and ensuring that communities across Arkansas have access to the tools they need to succeed.

Like my own campaign, Chris recognizes that Arkansas’s future depends on strong schools, supporting educators, expanding opportunities for career and technical training, and preparing the next generation with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed. Education is not only an investment in our children—it is an investment in the future strength and competitiveness of our communities and our state.

My campaign has also emphasized that economic growth should benefit working families and communities across Arkansas—not just those with influence or special access. Chris’s focus on lowering costs, supporting working families, expanding housing opportunities, improving access to healthcare, and strengthening retirement security reflects a shared commitment to ensuring that Arkansas families have the opportunity to build stable and secure lives.

Another cornerstone of my platform has been restoring trust in our democratic institutions. I have called for transparent government, stronger civic education, responsible election reforms, and greater accountability to the people. Chris has likewise emphasized the importance of ethical leadership, transparency, and ensuring that government works for the people rather than for political interests. While we may have different ideas about how best to accomplish these goals, we share the conviction that public trust is earned through openness, integrity, and accountability.

What I appreciate most about Chris is his belief that Arkansas’s future is built by bringing people together and finding solutions that improve the lives of everyday citizens. Throughout my own campaign, I have spoken about the importance of respect, civility, and solving problems without allowing political divisions to prevent progress. Chris’s vision of expanding opportunity, strengthening communities, and building “a bigger table” reflects that same commitment to constructive leadership.

This endorsement is not based on the expectation that Chris and I will agree on every issue before Congress. Healthy democracy requires honest discussion, thoughtful debate, and leaders who are willing to listen and learn from one another. Rather, I support Chris because I believe effective leadership is measured not only by policy positions, but also by character, humility, a willingness to serve, and a commitment to putting people before politics.

Arkansas deserves leaders who are willing to think beyond short-term political victories and focus instead on the long-term success of our families, communities, and state. I believe Dr. Chris Jones possesses that kind of leadership, and I am honored to endorse him for the United States House of Representatives.

I encourage every voter to learn about Chris Jones, examine his vision for Arkansas, and participate in our democratic process. Our state is strongest when we elect leaders who put people first, govern with integrity, and work every day to expand opportunity for all.

With respect for all Arkansans,

"I’m not running for office to recite slogans — I’m running because I believe Arkansas deserves leadership rooted in respect, driven by resolve, and committed to renewal. Respect means every Arkansan, no matter where they live or who they are, is treated with dignity and heard with intention. Resolve means we don’t shy away from hard truths — we face them with courage and clarity. Renewal means we rebuild trust in our institutions and restore hope in our communities.

I believe in Common Ground because we’re stronger when we listen before we argue. I believe in Common Sense because good policy should be practical, not partisan. And I believe in the Common Good because public service should serve all, not just a few.

This isn’t just a campaign — it’s a call to come together. This is our moment."
